IIT Hyderabad has removed the non-CEED admission option for its M.Des programme. Candidates aspiring for both Ministry of Education (MoE) and Self-Sponsored seats must now qualify through CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design).

What Has Changed?

  • Earlier: The non-CEED option provided an alternative admission route for eligible candidates.

  • Now: A valid CEED score is mandatory for admission consideration, including the Self-Sponsored programme.

  • Selection process: Shortlisting based on CEED scores, followed by an in-person studio

test and/or interview and portfolio evaluation at the IIT Hyderabad campus.

Who Is Eligible?

Candidates must meet the prescribed academic eligibility criteria and have a valid CEED score. The CEED score from the previous year will be considered valid, as specified in the admission criteria.

What Should M.Des Aspirants Do?

If IIT Hyderabad is on your target list, start preparing for CEED. The Self-Sponsored programme is no longer an alternative for candidates who have not qualified through CEED.
